Hello McClatchey family!
I am Alisha Cunningham and I am extremely excited and blessed to serve this campus and community as the Principal of DME. We established a firm cultural foundation last school year and I can’t wait to get back to work and continue to build an amazing environment for your kids. This year our theme is “Keep Moving Forward”. Last year we made great strides in building a strong campus culture that focused on meeting kids where they were and having a laser focus on their growth and then celebrating students and staff for their efforts. This year we will continue to build on that culture and push ourselves to create an even better community of educators and scholars that are focused on growth and getting better each day. One thing that remains unchanged is our commitment to your kids!
I wholeheartedly believe that all kids can learn at high levels. Our job as a school family is to provide a safe and nurturing environment that focuses on building relationships and pushing kids to reach their fullest potential. I am committed to working together with our families, staff and community to create an outstanding school environment where all kids will enjoy learning and will flourish. I believe that a strong parent-school partnership is the foundation for success and I welcome you to get involved, plug-in and volunteer. Whether you are new to the DME family or a returning one, you are welcome here!
I am beyond excited to get this year rolling and to see all of you and your amazing kids! I look forward to our third year together, learning and growing with our amazing students, dedicated staff, and supportive community. I know that by working together, we can make this year the best one yet!
Sincerely, Alisha Cunningham

I am so excited to be a part of the McClatchey family for the 2025-2026 school year.
This is my 12th year in public education, working with students in grades Pre-K through 8th. I believe that our best learning occurs through collaboration, hard work, and fun! I look forward to creating strong relationships with our teachers, students, and families. It is my promise to challenge your students, hold them accountable, and push them toward growth as we tackle the adventures of the year. Midlothian is a wonderful community, and I can’t wait to help shape its future leaders. Please do not hesitate to reach out or stop by!
In partnership,
Bradley Pennington
